No show tonight, everyone. Sorry. Car troubles.
Finally, a proper recording of My Dictionaric to put up as a podcast! The levels are a little hot, but otherwise it works out fine.
On this week’s podcast:
- 5 guys from Canada call in at the same time
- Joe Bozic of the Brave New Workshop comedy theater calls in
- Matt Gourley of the Superego podcast calls in
- We move from the “Abb” section of the dictionary to the “Abc.”

Again, there were hitches tonight. But I was more aware of the possibility of hitches, so I was able to combat them a little. Things are looking even better for next week. See you here at 9pm Central on Wednesday.
Think I have the technical difficulties worked out. Come back tomorrow night and see if the live show finally works!
For the first ten minutes, everything was streaming great last night. And then, the technical monster came and ate all the smoothness up.
So, we’ll try things again next Wednesday at 9pm Central. I’ll fiddle around with dials and doohickeys and we’ll get this thing humming.
Doing the show again, live tonight (Thursday) at 9pm Central. Audio issues have been fixed. You should be able to watch live right here on the website, and call in to chat without me sounding like Darth Vader or the Micro Machine Man. Starting over from the beginning of the dictionary. So, don’t worry. You haven’t missed anything yet!
So, the audio was horrible messed up for the first attempt at this podcast. And you know what? I even forgot to press record. So there isn’t even a record of this horribly messed up trail run.
Oh nuts. I just thought of a way to do this much much better. Want to try again tomorrow night? I do.
Let’s do it again tomorrow! Except better. See you then!
My DictionAric is a weekly call-in podcast where I, Aric McKeown (get it? Diction-Aric? Hilarious), will attempt to get through reading the entire dictionary aloud while taking phone calls.
What types of phone calls are accepted? Anything. Questions about dictionary words, if that hat makes your cheeks look fat, or even what to do in case of blood poisoning. Of course, by calling in you will be hindering my goal of reading the entire dictionary aloud. But that probably isn’t a bad thing.
So, starting this Wednesday, call in between 9pm and 10pm Central time and chat away live. You can also join the live text chat at Ustream or simply enjoy the show from this website.
